Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant/Consultant with hands-on SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (SAP PRA) experience. This consultant will support revenue accounting operations within a fast-paced energy environment and help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of revenue-related financial information.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of energy revenue accounting, production and sales data, ownership structures, partner allocations, and financial reporting within a multi-entity environment. Hands-on SAP PRA experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and record monthly revenue journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze and reconcile revenue accounts.
• Investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies and variances.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reporting and financial analysis.
• Review and validate production and sales data to ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
• Assist with partner-related revenue allocations and payment distributions.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of revenue accounting data.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and data issues.
• Support compliance with applicable accounting policies and financial reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on revenue accounting within the energy sector.
• Hands-on SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (SAP PRA) experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience preparing revenue entries and reconciling revenue accounts.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Knowledge of production and sales data used for energy revenue recognition.
• Understanding of ownership structures, partner allocations, and payment distributions.
• Experience working in a multi-entity accounting environment.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
